Windows 10 - Changing TCP/IP Settings

Solution

Depending on your network, your device may need to connect using either Dynamic or Static IP Configuration. See instructions below on how to change your device's TCP/IP settings so it can connect to your network and get access to the internet.
 

  1. Click on Start button and choose Settings.

  2. Click on Ethernet → Change adapter options. Select Ethernet, click right mouse button and choose Properties.

    If using Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), see below:

  3. Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
    Check Obtain an IP address automatically, check Obtain DNS server address automatically, and then click OK.

    If using Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), see below:
     
  4. Click Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties.
    Check Obtain an IPv6 address automatically, check Obtain DNS server address automatically, and then click OK.
